The Shelf of Shame (or Shelf of Opportunity)

So sitting here looking at my shelves and all the games that are sitting there unplayed. All of them are there for one reason or another and they are wanted. I find that I get a little too ambitious with my time and that I feel that there will be someday that I will get to them. So let talk about my top 10 of what there. Why it is there, why it is not leaving and other thought about it:
- Dune: Imperium (2020) got this one for Christmas this year. While I have the original that GF9 released in 2019 and enjoy it, getting 6 people together is though normally but these days it is almost impossible. This version combines worker placement and deck building with an IP I have always liked. I think I'll be able to get it to the table sometime soon.
- Forbidden Stars (2015) This is one I have been trying to get too the table for years. Like Dune it is IP that I really like. I mean a 40k armies on a map game what is not to like.
- Circadians: First Light (2019) I love the artwork on this. Plus, it seems like it is one of Garphill games hidden gems. To me it seems like it is the next logical step from Alien Frontiers and Euphoria where you have rolled dice as your workers. My wife and I are big fans of this sort of mechanic and I think this will be a hit once we get past the learning curve.
- Legendary Encounters: A Firefly Deck Building Game (2016). Legendary Marvel is absolutely one of our favorites. As is Firefly. So, what is not to like?
- City of Remnants (2013) This in one that I have played already. I picked this on up years ago and it has sat on my shelf. I enjoyed it and looked forward to getting my copy to the table soon.
- Flash Point: Fire Rescue (2011) Got this from a friend, and we are looking to play it sometime.
- Aftershock: San Francisco & Venice (2019) How often do you get to play a game based on where you live? That was this thing that drew me into this. That and it is simple and can played with six players.
- Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game (2011). This game drips with theme. I played it once and when I had the opportunity to grab it, I did. I painted the figure and no I desperately want to get it to the table.
- Pulp Invasion (2020) This is a solo game that just came in the mail this week. It looks super cool with its retro artwork. There is a 2 player PVP option that I will have to try as well. It is an interesting bag builder mechanic where you are trying to defend from the Cosmic Hegemony and defeat their super weapons before it is too late.
- Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps (2020): This is another one that I got recently. Got all the figures painted up and want to get this to the table. Being that his can be played as a solo that will probably happen sooner rather than later.
