The Rudderless Ship That is My Free Time

So here I am on a Friday night looking at all of the stuff that I want to do for the weekend and I find myself with an abundance of choices of things to do. My studio is crammed to the gills with commission work, reference materials art supplies and tools.
Then there are my own projects I actually got something of my own done this week. I did up a little Weird War piece for my British Airborne called at R.A.T. I picked it up from the Game Kastle Flea market last weekend along with many other things and I felt with all of the stuff that I bought, I ought to work on something. That was my choice. I got the thing for a song and it was just missing the manipulator arms. So, I gave it a 6 Pdr. Gun. Have no idea what I am going to end up using it for but it is done.
So this leads into another problem that I have been having recently. I need to put stuff away that I have finished. I have all of these little soldiers looking at me from all corners of my studio looking for a home. As I look to my left I see a band of Cretan Archers asking to be finished while on top of my printer there is a WW2 Soviet officer looking wishfully at his partially completed armored forces on top of my monitor.
Getting the stuff done is pretty easy (especially the WW2 stuff). What I have been doing is when I do commission work I do the same thing in 28mm scale. There is a running joke amongst some of my friends that I am going to do the Battle of Arnhem in 28mm with a one to one representation of all of the soldiers fighting there. With all of the WW2 I have been doing it sometimes seems like it.
Another problem that I have been having is that I have yet to figure out what I am going to do with all of the WW2 stuff (and Weird War Stuff that I have). AEWW2 has potential for smaller scale actions but right at the moment I am looking for a ruleset that I can use for all of my stuff. Gavin and I have tried a few different rule-sets but none of them have caught my imagination an get me to the point where I look forward to playing them.
