So last night my daughter and I spent a lot of time talking about things that happen in high school while we gesso’ed the frigate. There are still a few other things the need to be done. At This point they are not limited to:

  • ·         Building the Engines
  • ·         Finishing the Bridge
  • ·         Finish detailing the hull
  • ·         Building the docking bay
  • ·         Build the Stand

Here are some pictures of how it looks today:

Also yesterday I spent some time working on the scenario. I put the illustrations together using Power Point. I think that they turned out pretty good so far. I need to fiddle with some of the objectives to figure out how to balance things out a bit. You can see what I did by looking at the scenario page

I am debating about using escape pods for the Bright Hope as a mechanic in this. I will need to give that some thought. But it does have some appeal to it.

With the stats on the frigate itself I have started to look into putting them together. My initial thought is to start with the stat line of three Imperial Raiders and work my way up from there. The other thing that I need to figure out is the damage cards for each of the sections. With the damage cards I think that I will set up the center sections so that there are multiple critical hit cards that destroy the Grav generators. I also think that it would be fun to come up with a lucky shot critical hit card that will randomly be put into one of the decks. Alternately I think the mechanic could be if there if the following critical hits are scored then a chain reaction happens that causes the ship to blow up. Those Critical hits could be:

  • Reactor Leak
  • Projector Power Failure

When those crits are rolled roll a D20 and on a natural 20 the ship will blow up in two turns and then Instead of using cards for this I think that I might just use a dice and table to determine the critical damage.

Here is what I am thinking as far as the frigate goes to start. Will be adding more as I go along:
