Time to start the Mounted Knights for Time of Legends: Joan of Arc. For some reason mounted figures have always given me trouble. It is more of a mental block than any thing else. I am not sure why that is but it is something that I have always had an issue with. But with this game there are lots of mounted units and they all need to be painted.

My plan for this was to have all the JOA content that I own finished by the time the new stuff arrives. Right now, I would say that this is looking like it will be in May or June of 2021. I think I can get it done. Storage is going to be the issue going forward but I have plans for that as well.

With these guys I mounted them on sticks and primed them white.

I figured I would start of by doing the horses bodies first. I wanted to get this knocked out first so then I do not have to think about it later.

Then I did the tails and feet. I used some darker shades of what I did earlier. This seems to help it stand out and again they are 15 mm so they do not have to be perfect.

Started to do part of the shields with the fours colors that I am working on with these guys. I wanted to get some color down here as I thing that it well help me come up with an even color distribution as I go through this.

The I did the horses face plate in silver. I am planning on doing a lot more of the armor in that color, but I wanted to a little bit at a time and not psyche myself out. I am going to do this by take little bites out of it until it is done.

I started to touch up some of the other pieces that I am going to be doing later with white so that the contrast paint will show up better.

From there I took some Secret Weapon Dark Sepia and did the saddles. Might go back and do the saddle blankets. I did a little more metal work after that.

Then I switched it up and painted the leather straps for the horse armor.

After that I finished up the armor on the knights

With that I will probably call it quits for the night.
